San Miguel Chapel is a historic Catholic chapel located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, believed to possibly be the oldest church in the United States, dating to approximately 1610. This privately owned adobe structure is owned and maintained by Saint Michael's High School and the Christian Brothers Educational Foundation, who have supported its preservation since 1859. The chapel is consecrated by the Archdiocese of Santa Fe and welcomes visitors during extended weekly hours to experience its cultural and spiritual significance. English-language Catholic Mass is offered on the first Sunday of each month at 3 p.m. Visitors can explore the chapel's gallery of artifacts and archival photos, engage with knowledgeable docents who offer tours, and learn about the building's remarkable 400-year history.
