About Christ Our Hope At St Joseph's
Christ Our Hope Parish is a Roman Catholic parish serving Northern Oneida County through three churches: St. Joseph’s Church in Boonville, St. Patrick’s Church in Forestport, and St. Mary of the Snows in Otter Lake. St. Joseph’s in Boonville was founded in 1878 as a mission out of Constableville. St. Patrick Parish began earlier, in 1848, serving Irish canal workers along the Black River Canal. The three churches were combined in 2009 to form Christ Our Hope Parish, bringing together long-standing Catholic communities across the area.
