About Hope Christian Center
Hope Christian Center in the Bronx has a rich history of ministry spanning since 1969, when it was established as a Christ-centered refuge dedicated to helping men whose lives were impacted by substance abuse. Over its 54-year residential program, the center welcomed approximately 4,000 men and saw more than 400 complete their program, offering hope to those struggling with addiction. While the residential program closed in 2024, the gospel ministry continues through an ongoing support and Bible study group that meets bi-weekly to encourage men who struggle with life-controlling problems and substance abuse. Led by Angel Rodriguez, a Hope graduate and board member, this compassionate ministry reflects the center's enduring commitment to discipleship, accountability, and prayer for those in recovery.
