About Church Avenue Church Of God
Church Avenue Church of God is a traditional Church of God congregation in Brooklyn with roots in a humble beginning in 1984. The church was established as a mission in Brooklyn in 1985, with Reverend Isaac Mitchell as pastor, and began in the apartments of Sister Theodora Roberts and Sister Agnes Aban. Its mission is to exalt the Lord, win others to Christ, build believers up, and give them a place to serve in love and compassion. The church offers children’s ministry, youth ministry, and small groups. It is also constructing a new worship facility after outgrowing its current place of worship, with plans for community services such as a soup kitchen, senior day care, classes, mentoring, and counseling.
