About Church Avenue Church Of God
Church Avenue Church of God is a welcoming congregation in Brooklyn, New York, with roots dating back to 1984 when it began as a mission from the apartments of Sister Theodora Roberts and Sister Agnes Aban. Under the leadership of Reverend Isaac Mitchell, the church has grown significantly and now serves both spiritual and community needs through its ministries. The church is currently undertaking construction of a new multipurpose facility designed to expand social services including a soup kitchen, senior day care, computer classes, GED classes, youth mentoring, and counseling. The congregation emphasizes exalting the Lord through worship, winning others to Christ through evangelism, building up believers in maturity, and providing a place to serve in an atmosphere of love and compassion. Church Avenue Church of God invites visitors to experience their worship and join their vibrant faith community.
