About Holy Cross R C Church
Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn has served the Flatbush community since 1848, making it the mother church of all parishes established in the area. The parish welcomes a diverse, multicultural congregation including immigrants from the Caribbean, Africa, and Latin America, uniting them in faith and Gospel living. Masses are offered in English, Spanish, and Kreyol throughout the week and weekends, providing accessibility to the broader community. Beyond weekly liturgy, Holy Cross offers Eucharistic Adoration, personal pastoral counseling with Monsignor Malagreca, prayer groups led by multilingual community leaders, and robust religious education and sacramental preparation. With a strong emphasis on youth and family formation, the parish has flourished for 176 years as a spiritual home in the heart of Brooklyn.
