About St. Luke's Mission of Mercy
St. Luke's Mission of Mercy is an independent Catholic mission located in Buffalo, New York, dedicated to serving the poor and broken through the works of mercy. Co-founded by the late Amy Betros and Norm Paolini Jr., the community of nine full-time lay missionaries strives to live out the Gospel message of God's love and mercy. The mission operates multiple ministries including daily meals (averaging 400 served per day Monday through Saturday), a food pantry with Thursday giveaways, a Mission Mall with clothing and household items, a Baby Room, and the Good Shepherd Sandwich ministry. The mission also operates Our Lady of Hope Home School, providing Catholic education to children in the community. All services are sustained through community donations and volunteer support, as the mission receives no government or diocesan funding.
