About Calvary Chapel of Finger Lakes
Calvary Chapel of the Finger Lakes, located in Farmington, New York, is part of the Calvary Chapel fellowship of churches founded by Pastor Chuck Smith. The church traces its roots to a home Bible study begun in 1977 by Bil Gallatin in the Farmington area, which grew into Maranatha Fellowship before relocating and taking its current name in 1985. Known for its emphasis on teaching Scripture from Genesis to Revelation in a discipleship-focused approach, the church continues its founding vision under current leadership. The congregation welcomes visitors to join in worship and spiritual growth through various Sunday services, midweek gatherings, and specialized ministry groups for men, women, teens, and young adults.
