About St Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Church
St. Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Shrine Church in Greenlawn, New York serves a community of approximately 600 member families as both a parish and a sacred pilgrimage site. The church is dedicated to Saint Paraskevi, the patron saint of eye health and healing, whose intercessions have been reported to bring miraculous cures through the blessed holy water from the original shrine in Asia Minor. Since the late 1960s, hundreds of people locally and from across the nation have sought healing through the church's holy water and holy oil from the relics of Saint Panteleimon housed within. The parish offers multiple ministries and services including live and recorded worship, sacramental forms for weddings and baptisms, prayer sheets, and the ability to light candles remotely. Members and visitors are encouraged to join the community through stewardship opportunities, participation in events like the annual Greek Festival and Camp JAM, and receiving newsletters and bulletins to stay connected.
