About United Methodist Kingswood Cmp
United Methodist Kingswood Camp is a 766-acre retreat and camping facility nestled in the Catskill Mountains near Hancock, New York, operated by the New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Founded in 1959 as a gift of woodland property that was expanded with the purchase of the Hathaway farm, Kingswood has served generations of Methodist families, youth groups, and church communities through outdoor experiences and spiritual renewal. The camp offers a variety of programs including family camping, youth activities, service events, and retreat ministries throughout the year. With fully-equipped campsites, tent and trailer sites, and RV facilities, Kingswood provides a rustic-pioneer setting designed to strengthen families, build community, and nurture spiritual growth. The camp is explicitly welcoming to all persons, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community, reflecting the Methodist commitment to inclusivity.
