About Finger Lakes Baptist Association
The Finger Lakes Baptist Association is a network of churches serving the Rochester and Finger Lakes region of Western New York, encompassing eleven counties and a population of approximately 1.5 million people. Founded in 1969, the association grew from three small churches—Rochester Baptist Church, Bayview Baptist Church in Webster, and Calkins Road Church in Henrietta—and now includes 19 churches and missions reflecting diverse locations, ethnic groups, and languages. The association's purpose centers on growing healthy churches, advancing on mission, and starting strategic new works, with a vision rooted in the Great Commission to be witnesses locally and globally. Throughout its history, associational churches have demonstrated strong community impact through various ministries including vacation Bible schools, Sunday schools, children's camps, and mission studies.
