About New York Metro District
The New York Metro District of the United Pentecostal Church International, established in 1985, serves the Jamaica, New York area as part of a vibrant multi-cultural ministry throughout New York City. Since its founding with just 13 churches and 15 ministers, the district has grown to encompass 35 self-governing churches, 21 daughter works, 9 preaching points, and 140 ministers and pastors serving a rapidly growing and diverse community. The district pioneered the first official Spanish-speaking outreach ministry for the UPCI within the USA, reflecting its commitment to reaching people from all backgrounds. Rooted in the biblical mandate to preach the gospel to every creature, the New York Metro District emphasizes spiritual growth through its various ministries and community of believers seeking guidance through Jesus Christ. Visitors are welcome to connect with a local church within the district and experience their worship services and spiritual community.
