About Sephardic Congregation of Long Beach
The Sephardic Congregation of Long Beach, located at 161 Lafayette Boulevard in Long Beach, New York, is one of the oldest Sephardic Jewish houses of worship on Long Island, founded in 1943. The congregation was guided for more than fifty years by Rabbi Asher Abittan, whose legacy continues through his family, students, and the current rabbinical leadership of Rabbi David Bibi and Rabbi Yehuda Kamravapour. The community offers daily morning services Monday through Friday at 6:50 am, Shabbat and holiday services, and Sunday Shaharit at 8:00 am followed by breakfast and a Tefilah class. Young children participate in dedicated Shabbat morning programs designed for ages four through eight. The congregation maintains an active community through regular newsletters, WhatsApp communication, and Torah study opportunities, welcoming both longtime members and visitors to join their spiritual life.
