About Shrine of Our Lady of the Island

The Shrine of Our Lady of the Island in Manorville, New York is a Catholic center of Marian spirituality established by the Missionaries of the Company of Mary to serve the Diocese of Rockville Centre. Founded on the vision of Fr. Roger Mary Charest and Fr. Francis Tomai, the Shrine was built on generously donated land and stands as a resource for Catholic renewal and deepening devotion to Mary. Daily Mass is offered at 11:30 AM outdoors when weather permits, with Spanish-language Mass on Sundays at 4 PM, along with confessions, Eucharistic adoration, and various spiritual retreats and community events throughout the year. The expansive grounds feature the iconic Rock of Our Lady with its statue, memorial gardens, and picnic areas, welcoming both individual visitors and organized groups to experience formation in the Montfortian tradition of total consecration to Jesus through Mary.
