About Macedonia Baptist Church
Macedonia Baptist Church, founded in 1913, is one of the oldest Baptist churches in New York State and continues its foundational motto: "Where Everybody is Somebody and Christ is All." Located in Mount Vernon, the church is dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel, bringing souls to Christ, and preparing members for discipleship through biblical teaching, evangelism, and community service. Under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Darren M. Morton, Macedonia focuses on spiritual development and making a meaningful impact on the Mount Vernon community through faith, service, and scholarship. The church welcomes first-time visitors and provides opportunities for worship, discipleship, and Christian education for members of all ages.
