About Maetreum Cybele
Maetreum Cybele is a church and religious charity in Palenville rooted in the modern reclaiming of devotion to Cybele. Established in 1998, it moved to New York in 2002 and incorporated in 2005. The Maetreum built the first Temple to Cybele in 1600 years and operates WLPP-LP, described as the nation’s first and still only Pagan owned and operated FM radio station. It is open to all regardless of gender, gender identity, race, ethnic background, or sexual orientation. The church’s listed programs include children’s ministry.
