About Emanuel Lutheran Church
Emanuel Lutheran Church, located at 197 Manville Road in Pleasantville, New York, has served the community since its organization in 1893 as a Swedish Evangelical Lutheran congregation. The church relocated to its current Manville Road location in 1955 and has grown substantially over the decades, evolving into a welcoming, inclusive community that intentionally welcomes all people seeking to live as Children of God. With a mission to worship, live, love, learn, and teach the Word of God in Christ, Emanuel emphasizes racial and gender equity while embracing the uniqueness with which all people are created. The congregation offers Sunday worship services, coffee fellowship, music ministries including an accomplished bell ringer program, and various adult and youth programs. Whether visitors are experienced church-goers or new to faith, Emanuel invites them to participate in worship, fellowship, and community ministries in a space dedicated to God's love and grace.
