About First Presbyterian Church
First Presbyterian Church of Port Jefferson is a welcoming Presbyterian congregation located on Main and South Street in Port Jefferson, New York. Known for their hospitality, sincerity of worship, and openness, the church gathers each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. (9:30 a.m. in summer months) to celebrate life together through song, prayer, and praise. The church embraces an inclusive philosophy and worships in a spirit of relaxed reverence, where the attitude of the heart matters more than outward appearance. Children are warmly welcomed and participate in their own portion of the service before attending Church School. Beyond Sunday worship, First Presbyterian offers a vibrant music ministry, special services throughout the year including Easter and Christmas celebrations, and serves the community through various missions and outreach programs.
