About Vassar Road Baptist Church
Vassar Road Baptist Church is a fellowship of Christians in Poughkeepsie dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond. Led by Pastor Kevin Lopez and a team of elders including Jangbae Jeon and Abram Germano, the church emphasizes worship, biblical study, and cultivating an authentic, loving Christian community centered on Jesus. The congregation gathers Sunday mornings for worship at 9 AM, followed by Sunday School at 10:30 AM (resuming in September after summer break). As an evangelical Baptist congregation, Vassar Road seeks to be a counter-cultural presence in Poughkeepsie, engaging their community and world with the Gospel while pointing all people toward Jesus and the fullness of joy found in Him.
