About Christ Church
Christ Church Rochester is an Episcopal parish located in downtown Rochester's Center City district, near the Strong Museum of Play. Founded in the mid-19th century and expanded over time, the church building showcases remarkable architecture including buttresses, flying buttresses, and windows and tilework by the Tiffany Studio. The parish is known for its theologically progressive yet liturgically orthodox approach, celebrating Holy Eucharist every Sunday with a worship style that engages all the senses through chanting, incense, and exquisite music composed and directed by Stephen Kennedy.
