About Blessed Sacrament Monastery
Blessed Sacrament Monastery is a Catholic monastic community in Scarsdale dedicated to continuous worship and adoration of Jesus in the Eucharist. Founded in 1639 by Father Anthony Lequieu, O.P., the monastery is home to the Sacramentine Nuns, formally known as the Religious of the Blessed Sacrament and of Our Lady. The community's life centers entirely around Eucharistic worship, including daily celebration of the Eucharistic Liturgy, adoration of Jesus in the Eucharist, the praying of the Liturgy of the Hours, and private prayer and meditation. The nuns are called by God to praise and adore Him not only for themselves but especially for those who cannot or will not do so.
