About United Methodist Church
United Methodist Church in Seneca Castle has served the community since its beginnings in 1828, when the congregation was formed in Castleton, now Seneca Castle. Its Methodist church building was dedicated in 1842 and later enlarged in 1870 and 1914-1915, with the east-side addition’s interior reconstructed in 1976. Sunday School has been part of the church’s life since 1836, and current programs include children’s ministry and youth group. Worship is traditional, and Pastor Charlie Valentine was appointed to Seneca Castle beginning July 1.
