About Ogden Baptist Church
Ogden Baptist Church is a historic Baptist community located in Spencerport, New York, with roots stretching back to 1819 when thirteen charter members gathered in a schoolhouse. The beautiful white colonial-frame church building, constructed in 1832-33 at the corner of Colby and Washington Streets, has been carefully maintained and renovated over the centuries, most recently in 2015-16. Today, the congregation is vibrant and committed to Christ-centered ministry, emphasizing the belief that faith requires dedicated work, prayer, and effort. The church welcomes all who wish to worship, believing that one need not be perfect to come to church or that being Christian makes life perfect. Ogden Baptist Church actively serves its community through numerous ministries including support for Cameron Community Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, refugee settlement work, and local hospitality.
