About Gideons International
The Gideons International is an evangelical association dedicated to equipping and mobilizing Christian business and professional men, along with their wives, to share God's Word and win others for Jesus Christ worldwide. Founded in 1899, the organization has distributed over 2.6 billion copies of Scripture across more than 190 countries and territories. The Staten Island chapter serves as part of this global network, focusing on placing Bibles in hotels, hospitals, shelters, and other locations where people seek hope. Members strengthen one another through fellowship and mutual accountability while expanding their Gospel impact in their communities. The association emphasizes personal spiritual growth, meaningful witnessing opportunities, and the transformative power of God's Word in people's lives. Visitors interested in learning more about membership or supporting the mission are welcome to connect with the local chapter.
