About St John's Lutheran Church

St. John's Lutheran Church in Stuyvesant, New York has served its community since 1870, when a German Evangelical Lutheran congregation was formally established following a service at Stuyvesant Landing. The current church building and fellowship hall were constructed in 1967 and dedicated that December, preserving the altar from the original church in the fellowship hall. St. John's is committed to honoring God through spiritual growth, fostering fellowship among members and the wider community, and sharing the Gospel message of Christ's redemptive work. The congregation emphasizes faith in Christ as Lord and Savior and celebrates the presence of Christ in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Visitors are welcomed to experience worship and Sunday school programs designed to build faith and strengthen the local Christian community.
