About Old Dutch Church Of Sleepy Hollow
Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow in Tarrytown is a historic Christian church built in 1685 and formally organized as Dutch Reformed in 1697. Recognized as the oldest extant church in New York and a National Historic Landmark, it remains in use for summer Sunday worship and special holiday services, including Good Friday and Easter Sunrise during Holy Week and Easter. The surrounding Burying Ground is open to visitors daily until 4:30 PM. The church’s music ministry includes Chancel Choir, handbells, Youth Choirs, and special music programs. Children’s ministry and youth group are also part of the congregation’s life.
