About Tomkins Memorial Protestant
Tomkins Memorial Protestant Church, nestled in Tomkins Cove, New York between the Hudson River and Harriman State Park, is a non-denominational congregation with a rich 180-year history. Originally founded in 1840 during a Methodist revival, the church evolved from home services to an organized body, eventually becoming independent and dedicated to preaching and teaching the truth of God from Scripture alone. Known locally as 'The Little White Church with the Sign,' the congregation has faithfully served the residents of northern Rockland County through various ministries including weekly Bible studies, Sunday services, and community outreach. The church welcomes visitors to experience their traditional Sunday morning worship, the contemporary Alive @ 5 Saturday evening service, and the fellowship that follows their Sunday gatherings.
