About St Andrews Evangelical Lutheran Church
St. Andrew's Lutheran Church has served the Yorktown Heights community for nearly 70 years, welcoming people of all ages and backgrounds to gather around Word and Sacrament. The congregation centers on the grace of Jesus Christ and emphasizes three core values: worship to deepen connections with God and one another, education to challenge understanding of faith, and service with others to change the world. Pastor Dave Dockweiler leads the church family in living out their mission statement, "Inspiring change by following Jesus." The church offers multiple worship opportunities including Sunday services at 8:00 and 10:00 a.m., with Sunday school for children ages 3 through sixth grade and adult Bible study available. St. Andrew's is deeply rooted in its community, partnering with neighboring churches, supporting sister congregations, and engaging in local outreach initiatives.

Dress Code: Not specified — please contact the church directly. Service Format: Sunday services are offered at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. with adult Bible study at 9:00 a.m. in between; the 10:00 a.m. service is also available via Zoom. Summer services (June 29–September 7) begin at 9:00 a.m., with select outdoor lawn services on July 27 and August 24, weather permitting. Sunday school is offered during the 10:00 a.m. service for ages 3–6th grade. Visitor Tips: All are welcome; refreshments follow worship, and visitors are invited to speak with Pastor Dave or any member of the congregation.
