About Welcome Baptist Church
Welcome Baptist Church in Albemarle, North Carolina has roots stretching back to 1889, when missionary efforts in Stanly County led to the church's official organization on July 20, 1889. Beginning with seven charter members and two dollars and fifty cents in resources, the congregation persevered through early struggles to become an established presence in the community. The church works to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by creating an environment where people are encouraged and equipped to develop intimacy with God, build a Spirit-filled community within, and reach out to others in partnership with Christ and the greater Christian community. Worship services are held each Sunday at 11:00 AM both in person and online via livestream, welcoming visitors to join in corporate worship and spiritual growth.
