About Land of the Sky United Church of Christ
Land of the Sky United Church of Christ is an emerging, progressive faith community in Asheville that seeks to serve what they call the still-speaking God by living justly, loving abundantly, and walking humbly in the ways of Jesus. The congregation is explicitly open and affirming, welcoming LGBTQ+ individuals and families into full participation and leadership. They emphasize radical interpretations of Jesus's ministry, social justice rooted in repair and restoration, beloved community, and the embrace of questions and mystery in faith. The church offers both in-person and online worship on Sunday mornings, and they are particularly known for their intergenerational approach, inclusive theology, and strong commitment to justice work in partnership with other organizations throughout Asheville.
