About Holy Trinity Lutheran Church
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chapel Hill has served the university and local community since its founding in 1946, beginning as a student ministry at the University of North Carolina. The congregation has grown from its initial sixty-six worshippers into a vibrant community committed to welcoming people of all backgrounds, affirming its identity as a Reconciling in Christ congregation that embraces individuals regardless of age, ability, race, culture, religion, class, marital status, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation. The church maintains a strong commitment to social justice, anti-racism work, and faith formation through its various ministries including worship, Lutheran Campus Ministry, youth programs, and music ministry. Sunday services are held at 9:30 AM both in person and livestreamed on YouTube, with a café fellowship time following worship. Holy Trinity invites all visitors to join their community of disciples dedicated to loving God and loving neighbors.
