Holy Cross Lutheran Church is the only Lutheran congregation in Johnston County, North Carolina, located in Clayton near the Highway 40/42 area. Founded in 2001, the church has grown from 180 charter members to over 750 today and now operates a 20,000-square-foot facility that includes a large sanctuary, meeting spaces, and Open Arms, a five-star licensed Christian child development center. Holy Cross offers two Sunday worship services—a contemporary praise band service at 8:30 AM and a traditional choir-led service at 11:00 AM—both available in-person and streamed online through Facebook and YouTube. The church is committed to Christ-centered worship, reaching unchurched people with the message of Jesus Christ, and fostering loving relationships where members serve with compassion and commitment. Visitors of all ages, beliefs, and backgrounds are welcomed to join the congregation in worship and service.
