First Presbyterian Church, established in 1871, is the oldest of the ten Presbyterian Church USA congregations in Durham, North Carolina. Located downtown at the corner of Main and Roxboro Streets, the church has maintained a long-standing commitment to justice and compassion ministries rooted in scripture. The congregation of approximately 575 members welcomes people of all ages, races, nationalities, genders, abilities, sexual orientations, and economic circumstances to participate fully in church life.
