About Lutheran Chapel Church
Lutheran Chapel Church is an ELCA congregation in Gastonia with deep local roots. The church describes itself as one of the area’s oldest Lutheran congregations, beginning as a small log chapel in 1828. Its present sanctuary was built in 1923, followed by an Education Building in 1957 and a Family Life Center in 2000. That center supports fellowship, outreach, preschool ministry, and community gatherings. Sunday mornings include prayer, fellowship, Bible study, and worship, with an additional evening prayer service on Wednesdays. The church also offers children’s ministry.
