St. James Baptist Church, located in Greensboro, North Carolina, is a Baptist congregation with a rich history spanning over a century. Originally founded in 1906 in the Dingland area by Reverend J. T. Hairston and community leaders, the church earned the affectionate nickname the "Little Red Church on the Hill" due to its distinctive red siding. Under the current leadership of Reverend Vernon C. King, who arrived in 2001, the church has grown both numerically and spiritually while establishing numerous ministries including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, a Men's Mentoring Program, Praise Team, and Seniors' Ministry. The congregation welcomes visitors and offers weekly Sunday worship, Bible study opportunities, communion services, and active community engagement. St. James Baptist Church invites all to join their discipling community focused on reaching, preaching, and teaching God's Word.
