About Episcopal Church Of The Transfiguration
The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Bat Cave, North Carolina has served its mountain community for over a century, continuing a tradition of hospitality, spirituality, and service established by the Sisters of the Transfiguration. The parish welcomes all people regardless of where they are on their faith journey, offering Sunday services at 8 am and 10 am, as well as Thursday morning prayer and healing services. Beyond worship, the church is actively engaged in community outreach through ministries including a hope garden, firewood ministry, laundry center, and counseling services. Under the leadership of The Rev. John Roberts, who began as rector in late 2023, Transfiguration invites visitors to experience their welcoming faith community and explore opportunities to participate in both worship and service.
