About First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church is a Baptist congregation in downtown Hendersonville, located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Washington Street. Sunday worship is offered in both traditional and modern formats, with Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary featuring choir and orchestra and Modern Worship meeting in the Crosswalk Student Center while the 316 Center is being renovated. Children’s ministry is available on Sunday mornings, including Sunday School for children from birth through 5th grade during the 9:15 and 10:30 services. Grades 1–5 also meet for MERGE, the church’s kids worship time. Small groups and a membership class offered several times a year provide additional ways to connect.
