Wilkies Grove Baptist Church, established in 1892 in the George Hildebrand community of eastern Burke County, has served for over 130 years as a traditional Southern Baptist congregation dedicated to telling the truth of Jesus Christ and ministering to their community. The church welcomes visitors to join them for Sunday fellowship beginning at 8:30 a.m. with coffee and doughnuts, followed by Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and the main Sunday morning service at 10:30 a.m., which is also broadcast on Facebook Live. With multiple buildings on campus including a remodeled sanctuary that seats approximately 300, an education building, and a multipurpose fellowship hall, Wilkies Grove provides space for worship, small group ministry across all ages, and community outreach. The congregation emphasizes feeding the flock of God and has recently opened both a Heritage Hall showcasing the church's 130-year history and a Mission Hall highlighting the church's local, state, national, and international disaster relief and mission work.
