About Christ the King Church
Christ the King Catholic Church is a vibrant, multi-ethnic Roman Catholic community located near historic downtown High Point, North Carolina. Founded in 1940 to serve African-American Catholics, the parish has grown into a welcoming congregation celebrating both the diversity and unity of the Catholic faith. The church traces its roots from humble beginnings in a funeral home and clothing shop to the dedication of a colonial-style building in 1941. Today, Christ the King reflects its rich cultural heritage through ministries serving English, Vietnamese, Korean, and Spanish-speaking parishioners, along with active programs in faith formation, youth ministry, and community service. Sunday Eucharist remains the heart of parish life, gathering the faithful for worship and spiritual renewal.

Service Format: Sunday Eucharist is offered at 7:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. in English, 8:00 a.m. in Vietnamese, 11:00 a.m. in Korean, and 12:00 p.m. in Spanish; Saturday vigil Mass at 5:00 p.m. Daily Mass is celebrated Tuesday through Friday at 7:00 a.m. Visitor Tips: Confessions are available Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. or by appointment. The church is open during the week for private prayer until evening. The parish office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Visitors interested in joining various ministries including lector, usher, altar server, and faith formation are encouraged to contact the church office at 336-883-0244.
