About Rock Hill AME Zion Church
Rock Hill African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, located in Indian Trail, North Carolina, is a historic congregation with roots stretching back to 1865, when it was founded as New Hope by a diverse group of men united in faith. The church relocated and was renamed Rock Hill in 1886, eventually becoming part of the West Central North Carolina Conference within the Wadesboro-Monroe District. Today, the church is dedicated to spreading the Word of God through prayer, care, and service, with a focus on Christian education, Bible study, and community outreach including food and clothing drives. Under the leadership of Rev. James McDougald and his ministerial staff, Rock Hill welcomes worshipers both physically and virtually to experience the love, presence, and power of Christ through dynamic worship services and spiritual enrichment programs.
