About Elah
Elah is a Baptist church in Leland led by Pastor Kenneth W. Long, Sr. The church traces its beginnings to what it says was originally known as the Myrtle Branch Preaching Station. It has a long connection with Southern Baptist work and describes itself as an unwavering supporter of Southern Baptist initiatives at every level. Its campus history includes a second story added in 1974 for a fellowship hall and Sunday school classrooms, along with an adjacent fellowship hall completed in 2006. Elah’s stated vision is to become “a church without walls,” and its ministries include children’s ministry and a youth group.
