Located in Lumberton, North Carolina, the church is affiliated with both the North Carolina Baptist State Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention. The association, which celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2002, is known for its indigenous lay and clergy leadership and its commitment to strengthening program organizations, promoting missions and local ministry, developing Christian leadership, and nurturing fellowship among churches. The church community engages in significant outreach through the Church and Community Ministry program, which assists individuals in critical need, and supports mission work internationally in the Philippines and among Native American communities throughout the country.
