About Sandy Grove Baptist Church
Sandy Grove Baptist Church, located in Lumberton, North Carolina, is a historic Baptist congregation with roots dating back to 1873, when a group of Black Christians established this spiritual community near the Lumber River. The church maintains a spirit-centered, Bible-believing ministry focused on bringing individuals into a saving and redemptive relationship with Jesus Christ through discipleship and service. Led by Senior Servant Leader Pastor Kelvin L. Barnes, Sandy Grove emphasizes edification, evangelism, exaltation, forgiveness, and reconciliation as it works toward building a kingdom community addressing the spiritual, physical, educational, and social needs of its members and the surrounding Robeson County area.
