About Emmanuel Baptist Church
Emmanuel Baptist Church is a Baptist congregation in Monroe with roots as a mission church begun in 1977 with twelve members. Reverend Jack C. Hildreth was called as pastor in 1978, and the church moved to Monroe in 1982 as membership grew. Its campus on Morgan Mill Road developed after the church purchased five acres in 1991, beginning with a 2,500 square foot building and later adding a 1,000-seat sanctuary in 1998 and a Family Life Center in 2002. Weekly gatherings include Sunday School, Sunday worship, prayer services, youth services, and Wednesday evening programs for children and youth.
