Bishop Williams served the church as pastor for 27 years before retiring, and his influence in the community was later recognized when Prince Street was renamed Prince-Williams Street. The church’s history reflects a long local presence shaped by perseverance, pastoral leadership, and deep ties to its neighborhood.
