Rehobeth United Methodist Church, founded in 1789, is the oldest Methodist church west of the Catawba River in North Carolina and holds the historic distinction of hosting the first camp meeting in the United States in 1794. Located in Terrell, this vibrant and welcoming community celebrates over 237 years of faith and service, drawing both long-established families with eight and nine generations of membership and newer residents drawn to the Lake Norman area.
