About Waxhaw Bible Church
Waxhaw Bible Church is an independent, non-denominational congregation planted over 40 years ago in the heart of Waxhaw, North Carolina. The church serves people and families from across Union County, including members from the JAARS community, and brings together a unique blend of longtime and newer residents. In 2024, WBC opened a new Discipleship Building following more than two decades of planning and prayer, complementing the expanded worship center that seats up to 450 people. The church operates under a biblical eldership model and emphasizes the preaching of God's Word through expository, verse-by-verse teaching. WBC welcomes visitors to experience their Sunday gatherings, which feature congregational singing, prayer, and a multi-generational community committed to making disciples.
First-Time Visitor Info for Waxhaw Bible Church
Dress Code: Dress is generally casual; visitors will see people in jeans alongside those dressed more formally, and you are welcome to come dressed as you're comfortable in a public setting. Service Format: Sunday School begins at 9:00 a.m., and the worship gathering starts at 10:45 a.m. The service includes blended music (Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with lyrics projected on screens), exegetical and expository preaching through books of the Bible, and congregational prayer. Children newborn through 4 years old are welcome in the nursery, and some Sundays offer Children's Church for ages 4 through 5th grade. Visitor Tips: You are welcome but not required to give financially as a visitor.
