About Myrtle Grove Holiness Church
Myrtle Grove First Born Holiness Church in Wilmington traces its beginning to 1950, when prayer meetings were held from house to house. Its first church was established in 1954 under Pastor Arthur E. Freeman of Bolton, North Carolina, and the congregation was formally organized on February 23, 1957. After the earlier building was torn down for a highway widening project, the current building on Carolina Beach Road was erected in 1963. The church continues its pattern of gathered worship, Sunday School, and prayer.
