About Temple Of Israel
Temple of Israel is a Reform Jewish congregation in Wilmington, North Carolina. The congregation follows the principles and values of Reform Judaism and gathers for weekly Friday night Shabbat services. Services are offered in person as well as on Zoom and Facebook, making participation possible in several ways. Children are very welcome and are specially included in the service. After services, the congregation shares an oneg with refreshments, providing time for conversation and community.

Founded in 1872
Forty families organized the congregation in 1872. The Temple structure was begun in 1875 and completed in 1876.
