Contending for the Faith Church Ministries in Wilson, North Carolina was founded in 2004 by Pastor Dameion L. Royal and Lady Melessha Royal, emerging from Pastor Royal's calling to teach the principles of Jude 1:3 and earnestly contend for the faith. The church began with approximately 200 members meeting at Darden Middle School and completed construction of its own facility at 1006 Academy Street in October 2006. The congregation emphasizes worship in Spirit and Truth, offering spiritual power, healing, deliverance, and wholeness through sound biblical teaching and preaching. Over nearly two decades, the church has engaged in extensive community outreach including serving meals to the hungry, assisting families with material needs, and partnering with local schools and organizations. Contending for the Faith maintains a commitment to personal holiness, spiritual growth, and the Great Commission of winning the lost for Christ.
