About Peace Lutheran Church
Peace Lutheran Church in Burlington, North Dakota has been serving the community since its founding in 1979, growing from thirty interested families to an established congregation. The church moved through several locations before settling in a remodeled structure that was relocated to Burlington in the early 1980s, later expanded with an above-ground addition housing classrooms, a food pantry, and updated facilities. Today, Peace Lutheran offers multiple worship and educational opportunities, including Sunday worship at 10 a.m., Wednesday evening education programs for children, and Sunday School classes for younger members. The congregation has weathered significant challenges, including extensive flood damage in 2011, and has remained committed to both spiritual growth and community outreach through its food pantry and other ministries. Pastor Kim Gifford leads the church alongside Administrative Assistant Connie Haider and active council members.
